A first in Tunisia

For the first time in Tunisia, a pasta brand is recipient of an award as prestigious and prized on Gastronomy international level as the International Taste and Quality Institute, based in Brussels, the capital of the European Union’s 25 member countries.


A veritable ambassador of Tunisian know-how, La Rose Blanche has rubbed shoulders with the greatest international brands on the occasion of the tasting sessions held in March 2006. It must be said that this award is the crowning of several years of sustained efforts and targeted actions by the management and staff of La Rose Blanche.

A solemn ceremony in Brussels

It was on 19 May 2006 in the solemn and magnificent decor of Sainte Anne Castle in Brussels that the ceremony of giving the ITQI awards, in the presence of the diplomatic corps, official personalities and the international press, took place. In this ceremony, La Rose Blanche was granted the superior taste award. It was a performance that is all the more remarkable as only 287 products from 55 countries were awarded prizes out of the 430 that had participated in this 2006 Awards session. Here was the mark of recognition for a Tunisian industrialist, a cause for pride and honour to rank among the cream of European and industrial products and industrialists.


It goes without saying that La Rose Blanche, which has never had another objective than giving full satisfaction to its customers, does not envisage to stop at such an advanced point. Indeed, this recognition lends it wings and further impetus to win even more prestigious awards and score even more remarkable successes. La Rose Blanche is wanting neither in the taste for a job well-done, nor the desire to take up challenges.

The International Taste and Quality Institute: What is it, in fact? ITQI, or International Taste and Quality Institute, which is based in Brussels, is an independent organisation whose objecive is to test, according to a well-codified evaluation process, and eventually award, superior taste food and beverages products. All the products that are submitted to it are tasted by a panel composed of European and well-renowned head chefs and gastronomy and beverages experts.

Why the ITQI Award?

 « Good question, » the CEO of La Rose Blanche would say. The answer is not hard to guess: this award does constitute an excellent marketing tool. The superior character of the products and the quality of the tastes are grounds for sales promotion. However, there is also the love of a job well-done, the credibility of the brand on foreign markets, the pleasure one derives from matching the leading Italian brands that have earned themselves a reputation in the field. It is worth noting that the evaluation reports drafted by the jury comprise a very detailed sensory and organoleptic analysis. More than a differentiation on the shelves of a department store or a label on a packaging, there is in the Award a sales leverage and an immediate and sustainable investment.
